Homework

Malthe is in year 2 and the level and expectations are about the same as in the international school in Brunei. The schools follow the same British curriculum. The expectations might be a bit higher for a 7 year old here than in the Danish school system. First of all Malthe would only be in year 1. In the British curriculum they learn to read from the age of 4/5. Daniel has started to blend all the sounds and read. They use the British reading system Jolly Phonichs which is amazing. Both my boys have used it: http://www.jollylearning.co.uk/
Malthe is a very confident reader now and read a book a day. We just bought him his first real book "Dracula" to read by himself. Even though they work hard they still have lots of fun learning and projects.

This week spelling words were a bit hard:
Payment
Advertisement
Development
Pavement
Agreement
Argument
Equipment
Involvement
Retirement
Measurement
Astonishment
Enchantment
Nourishment

Malthe normally gets all his spelling words right but this week he was not happy about practising them.....felt really sorry for him.
