How I turned into a soccer mum

To be honest football has never been my thing and so far the boys have preferred rugby. Malthe has been in football squad in school and done football summer camps the last 2 years in Denmark and they both did football training a year ago for a few months. Daniel also did football summer camp last year but decided after that he hated football.

Well Malthe was asked to be goalkeeper of one of his class mates' team in a tournament, 6 Thursdays over 3 months. As it was within our compound I thought ok why not and the rugby season was about to end. But then he has been asked to join the team to other tournaments and friendly games and now every weekend there is something on during the weekend.

The last day for the tournament was on Thursday. His team became 2 in the tournament, 1 point from the gold medal. Next day he went to an indoor football tournament, all day, 4 matches. Luckily there was a bouncing castle for the other 2 and I must admit I enjoyed watching the team play. They won 3 out of 4 matches - and will then be joining the finals in two weeks time.

Next Saturday is another indoor event so off course we were going to buy him new indoor football shoes. Little brother suddenly decided he also likes football and also needed new boots. Luckily there is a big sale on - 50 %! Next big decision - are we going to enroll them for football camp this summer???!

This is a new big indoor sport city with indoor fields. They are playing a mini world cup alias Argentina.
