Eid al-Adha

There will be Eid celebrations all over UAE this weekend. Eid al-Adha is the Feast of sacrifice and starts 70 days after the end of Ramadan. This is the time were sacrifice and for instance give to the poor people. In school we had the opportunity to make a shoe box to give to the workers around school as an Eid gift. In the box we put: shaving gel, deo, shower gel, shampoo, socks, sweets and a telephone card.

In Dubai Eid celebration also take place in the malls where the shops will be open 24 hours - what a shopping paradise.

Today was the first day of the public holiday and we went to the public beach with some Danish friends. The water was absolutely beautiful, perfect temperature and crystal clear. We had a picnic, swam in the water, kids playing in the white sand and enjoyed the view of Burj al Arab....
